A while back, I posted 2 pictures of my first attempt on macro shot photos. Looking back at the photos, somehow they look dull and slightly blurred. I have seen photos taken by some others that looked almost “alive”. I know that practice makes perfect. Also, I do not want to be like the idiom, “bad workman blames his tools”. However, I am sure that the camera used must have some impact on the quality of the photos as well.
Check out these great photos of a “sky goddess” taken by ShaolinTiger. They looked so real and alive that I wished she was in front of me as if she was in front of me. The amount of details and the richness of the colors are just magnificent. If those photos were taken with my camera by me, they may look like a portrait colored with crayons.
I also found some photos taken by kahwoon — colourful food. The mango and tomato looks ready to be eaten. I especially admire his courage to whip out his camera in a supermarket or grocery store to take those photos. At least I think that is where he took those photos. Where else can he find so many fruits and vegetables?
There are so many function to control in the camera such as shutter speed, aperture, focal length, exposure and ISO. I normally set all possible settings to automatic in my camera. That is because I don’t even know what some of the functions do. I admit that I am just plain lazy to go figure out and experiment. Anyone out there willing to give me a crash course?
The photos below show one of the reason why I chose the Panasonic DMC-FZ3 over the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX7.

Practice and experience. Of course generally the camera does play a part but its actually up to how to maximize its ability.
Keep shooting, cheers
Wah, u woke up b4 6 ?
Ooiii! You zoom in, readers were expecting some models or a cute chick, but it turned out to be a tractor driver posing???

@Kenny

@Freethinker
No. I slept after 6. Hahahhaa.
@aw
I am trying to keep my blog as decent as possible. IF there is any model/pretty lady photo, I’ll keep it to myself. Why? Want to trade? Hahhahaha.
@HORNY ANG MOH
I didn’t take photos of the gathering (the people there, the booth, etc). You can find more photos here and at Nuffnang’s latest post. Hey, why not you post up some “hor ny” photos on your blog? Hahaha.
kelvin, psst…. the colorful food pics by my brother right, is taken with his SE K800i… not his DSLR… surprised?!
@Mossie`Ol Chin
No way! Those photos can put my Lumix DMC-FZ3 to shame. At least if those photos were taken by me. It’s amazing to see how much camera phones have evolved.
