One of the methods to transfer funds to MAKNA is through Maybank2U. Some people encountered problem in the middle of the process and were unable to proceed. With this guide, I hope that such problems will not occur.
Step 1: Login to your Maybank2U account. Select the Online Bill Payment –> Open Payment option.

Step 2: Select Zakat and Charity from the Payee Category list.
Step 3: Select MAKNA from the Corporation Name list.

Step 4: Here is where most people encountered problem. It is stated that you should not use a “space” in the Donor Name and Contact No/Reference ID field. Therefore, “ChanKelwin” is valid but “Chan Kelwin” is not. Insert the amount you want to transfer.

Step 5: Request for a TAC number and insert it into the form.

You’re done! Thanks for those who have pledged and donated. For those who have not pledged but feel the need to do some charity, you may also do so. Thanks again.
This tip is possible thanks to Angie T.

Anyone try AM Bank?
When I try using AM bank to donate, there is an error “the service not available”.
Hanneng , I did
@hanneng
Maybe you want to describe the problem that you have. When/where you have it. See if Freethinker knows of a solution to it.
hi kelwin,
thanks for the tip! i’m still having problems fulfilling my pledge because i don’t have maybank or ambank credit cards, and i don’t have a cheque book! and i even tried calling their phone to donate by phone but it went to voicemail a few times…but no worries…will try to get someone with a maybank credit card to help me!
@lingzie
Ok. Sorry for all the trouble.
Just registered my phone number for TAC today at ATM and went to MAKNA’s donate page and proceed from there. Everything went smoothly and I donated RM5, which is slightly more than USD1.
@Vincent Chow
Thanks Vincent. Sorry for the trouble.
