Following the controversial pole by Alonso at the Hungarian Grand Prix, the stewards have since investigated the incident and came to a conclusion. Alonso will lose 5 grid positions on the starting grid while McLaren will lose all (if any) points scored in the 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix. The stewards’ full verdict can be found here. McLaren will appeal the stewards’ decision.
This race should be an exciting one. If only Massa didn’t encountered problem during his Q2 run, he should be ahead of Alonso as well. Let’s see how things pan out.
On an unrelated incident, Fisichella will also lose 5 grid positions at the starting grid after unnecessarily obstructed Sakon Yamamoto in qualifying.

when i saw the replay of qualifying, really Alonson or perhaps Alonso’s race team had deliberately done that to ruin Hamilton’s chance. but remember Hamilton ignore team order first by not allowing Alonso to pass during the fuel burn stage of Q3, thus I feel that the 2 race teams within McLaren are really racing each other furiously. funny this is the f-word exchange between Hamilton and Ron Dennis.
exciting. Ferrari definitely have no answer to Hamilton’s pace yesterday.too bad.

Yeah, I agree that Hamilton did disobey team orders but that doesn’t justify Alonso and maybe his engineers’ attempt to block Hamilton. Anyway, it wasn’t such an exciting race except at the end when Kimi was right behind. It’ll be exciting to see how this incident will affect the team.
