Who doesn’t know the Negarakuku song? Thanks to the publicity by the local newspapers, the rapper was even interviewed by Taiwan reporters. Anyway, do you remember the part where he rapped about “your shit is fragrant”? The screenshot of the video is below.

Namewee's Negarakuku Video

Guess what? I found that same shit that he used. It’s none other than the one from the Perfect Shit. OKOK. He didn’t get into trouble because of this shit. It was a catchy title, right?

The Perfect Shit

I’ve read through comments in Youtube and some other website on this issue. It’s very tough holding back not to add my 2 cents to it. Anyway, it’s just very very sad and terrifying to see some of the comments made. What has Malaysia become? I know that some of those extreme comments don’t reflect the majority of Malaysians but no matter how small that group is, it might still grow.

His video may or may not have offended part of the community but does that justify the “response” given by some quarters? If he has broken any law, let the law run its course. What have we become? Judge Dredd? “One man is Judge, Jury, AND Executioner”?

Just so that no one misunderstands my words, “that group” I was referring to doesn’t represent a “certain group” in the society. There are verbal threats and attacks going on from all sides…left right, right left, up down, down up, inside out, 3rd to 4th dimension…

Sad, very sad indeed.

Whatever happened to the “we are one” spirit? I thought Malaysia has always been proud of its multiracial community and how everyone can live in peace. I thought we boast to the world about how unified we were? I thought we were “the example” for other countries?

Maybe that’s just what we were taught in schools? I’ve never used half of the things I’ve learned from school. Some of the things I’ve learned from university have already been outdated by the time I enter society.

The problem I have with all the fuss with Namewee is that while this “one group” (my one ah, not yours!) jump up and down about them being insulted and their feelings hurt but what about when one of “them” or two were waving kerises around talking about bathing it in Chinese blood?

Some of Namewee’s topics touched a raw nerve but were the truth, though comparing the Muslim prayer call to a cock’s crow probably crossed the line a bit, and so is saying all Malays “prefer the easy lifestyle”.

And the funny thing is, if that “one group” did not make such a big fuss, I don’t think that it would have gotten so much publicity. This beats his “Muar Chinese” video by a mile.

p.s. Yeah I could read and understand Chinese. :)

Well, I’ve read others commented that something are more sensitive than another. It’s true that there are a few things in the video that were a little inappropriate. However, what we should do is to put those wrongs aside, and try to solve the problems raised in the video. Instead of doing that, they’ve chosen to blow up the wrongs.

Oh well, our voice isn’t loud enough. Anyway, if it was, we might end up in trouble.

The shape of it looks like the perfect shape of a shit. LOL.
