I would launch a massive fireworks display right now in my blog if I had the proper plugins or tools. Something needs to be done to celebrate this great day.
Malaysia is 50 years old! Some may argue that it’s 44 instead but I wouldn’t go into that since I don’t know much about it.
Malaysia has progressed from being known for its forests and orangutans to twin towers and great people from different backgrounds to co-exist peacefully. Although there are a few hiccups every now and then, I still believe that real Malaysians are united.
As I was writing this post, I heard some bang bang booms. Fireworks! I managed to get some shots, albeit lousy in quality. I can see some of the firework display right over my neighbor’s roof. LOL. Below are some “presentable” ones.

@Pradeep
Thanks! You have some great photos in your blog as well. Hope you enjoyed your stay here.
talking about taking photos on fireworks. i heard from my collegue that those digital SLR a.k.a expensive camera got a feature where you can press the button (don’t let go) and start capturing the fireworks from the moment it takes off till it burst. must be damn nice shot!
Happy Belated Merdeka dude..
Yep, this year’s fireworks around my area was a little bit subdued. Probably ran out of $$$ to burn. LOL!!
Anyway, pretty good shots of the fireworks.
@lazyfellow
I think so. From what I know, it’s best to place the camera on a tripod as well. There is a “cable add-on” thing that when attached to the camera allows the photographer to take photo without touching the camera. This prevents the camera from moving. I took the photo by resting my hands on the window grill and adjusted the shuttle speed for a longer exposure.
@Angie Tan
LOL. I’m lucky to be able to see some of the action from my house. Happy Merdeka to you too!
