I was at a Chinese restaurant this morning and I overheard a conversation between some older folks. One man footed the bill because he won lottery a couple days ago. He was proudly telling the others how he got his 4 lucky digits that won him the price money. Unfortunately, it has to come from a unfortunate guy who was involved in a car accident.
It is too common that people slow down and look when there is an accident. This “phenomenon” is due to the busybody nature of some while others are there to identify the number plates of the cars so that they can buy lottery with it. Even though their actions do not harm the victims in any ways, isn’t it morally wrong (or whatever you call it) to be cashing in on other’s misfortune?
Would you have done such a thing? If you saw an accident and was able to get the number plates of the car and somehow you have a strong feeling that that number will win you big money, will you buy the lottery?

when my grandfather passed away few years ago, some of the relatives checked on the coffin up and down to see whether they can find any numbers to buy or not.. very sickening!

So far I’ve never bought 4D based on car accident number plates. At least I don’t think so lah.
@JiNG
hehe. Well, not sure what’s the “aura” that those numbers have. Sometimes they are winning numbers, sometimes not. I’ve never really checked also.
@Jys
Hmmm…that is really disturbing.
@hanneng
There was a short period of time where I bought them occasionally. There were twice where I almost won (one of them is a 2nd price). I got the numbers correct but different “arrangement”.
