At first it was an earthquake of 7.9 magnitude which struck Indonesia’s Sumatra region. Then it was increased to 8.2. Now it is officially (correct) 8.4.
Anyway, the good news is that the earlier warning of a possible tsunami in Malaysia has been retracted. It was reported in the 11pm news last night on TV. However, two lost of lives and 11 others were injured in the earthquake. There shouldn’t be anything to worry now. If you are, just stay tuned for news on TV and radio as well as stay off the coastal area for a while.
