I was reading a blog post on how smoking can give your pet cancer. I know what secondhand smoke can do to us humans but never knew it has the same effects on animals as well. Anyway, if the smoker doesn’t even care that the smoke will harm their family and friends around them, do you think they give a damn what it does to their pets?

There are the usual “reasons” why people smoke. From the post, it stated a few possible points such as:

  • It helps a person stay calm/relax
  • It looks cool or matured
  • It makes a person look or feel more important (?)
  • You blend with your crowd better

To me, there is only one reason why people smoke and continue to smoke. They are addicted to it.

Let’s face it. Smoking is an addiction. Just like alcohol addiction, smoking is just another form of addiction. If anyone disagrees with me, try asking a smoker to stop smoking for a week (or any period of time). People smoke not because they want to, but because they need to. The “need” is caused by the addiction.

You are not addicted to something only when you can control it. You also get to choose when you want to do it. Your body doesn’t feel uneasy not doing something when you are not addicted to it.

Smoking is not a habit. It is an addiction. If you are really not addicted to it, try not smoking for a month. Nah, just make it a week. Or you would like me reduce it to a day?

Wah, smoke while waiting for paid posts? So one day how many boxes? hehe. Well, it is good to stop. There really isn’t any “advantages” of smoking.
