Staf Maybank “Mogok” Minta Bonus (with photos)

If you witnessed an interesting event for the first time but did not bring your camera to snap photos of it, that is just pure bad luck. However, if you to see the same event happening again the next day without bringing your camera, you just have to blame it on yourself.

Thank goodness I need not blame myself for anything. I brought my camera along the next day hoping that there will be a crowd outside Maybank again. To my excitement, there was.

I wanted to post this up yesterday but was quite busy and tired the whole day. Ok, I was just lazy. Sue me.

Maybank staff demonstration demanding for their bonus

I notice some other people taking photos as well. Some of the Maybank staff looked annoyed that people are taking photos, or at least that was what I thought. I mean, they are doing that just to get people’s attention right? Now they have because the whole of Malaysia and more can see their photos online (ok, I know my blog don’t attract such a big audience so let’s just play pretend).

Maybank staff deserve 30% bonus

Some of the writings on the cardboard read “Pengurusan Merompak Bonus Kami”, “We deserve 30%” and “Bank Rompak Bonus Kami”.

Pengurusan kurang ajar...

More writings — “Bank Rompak Bonus Kami” and “Pengurusan Kurang Ajar…”.

Close up photos of the demonstration

Those two guys with the headbands must be the ones “organizing” this demonstration (or whatever you call it). I stumbled upon some flickr photos that were taken at the Menara Maybank nearby Puduraya (I think) with the two guys in it. I am lazy to find the link, so just search for it at Google if you want to view them.

Sound your honk to support Maybank staff for their bonus

A close up at some of the cardboard writings. “Honk for support” is one of them.

Policeman stuck with his MP5

There were at least two police cars at the scene. When I was about to go, I saw this police man struggle with his gun. He must have been in that “pose” for at least 15 seconds. He gave up and went into the car to “fix” his situation before going out again.

Policemen standby in case things get out of hand

I guess the police were there just to make sure nothing gets out of hand. However, is that MP5 (is that an MP5?) necessary?

Yeah. Saya nampak staf bank lain juga ada pakai badge itu tapi sekarang sudah tanggal. Tak tahu mengapa Maybank belum bayar bonus itu.
