I saw a peaceful demonstration outside one of Kuantan’s Maybank branches yesterday. At least 20-30 people (some of which are Maybank’s staffs) were seen holding cardboards and singing slogans. Some of the writings include, “Bank Rompak Bonus Kami” and “Pihak Pengurusan Kurang Ajar…”. Bank staff members are also seen wearing badges that say, “Bank Rompak Bonus Kami”.
At least 5 police officers were seen at the incident. They are probably there to make sure things don’t go out of hand and to keep the traffic moving. I really wanted to take photos of the incident but realized I did not bring my camera along. Not even a camera phone! BAH!
I saw a Sinar Harian car some where nearby. I have no idea if they will be reporting this news in their papers today. I checked their website and found a similar demonstration was held in Alor Setar just a few days ago. It seems like the bank isn’t paying their 3 months bonus. That is a lot of money.

I have been so busy this few days that I didn’t realize today is Mooncake Festival, Lantern Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival (whichever you call it). I thought it is supposed to be next week! Anyway, I prefer to call it the Mooncake Festival because the only thing I do during the month before this day is eating mooncakes. Yum yum.
I have seen people promoting so many “special” types of mooncakes. Check out The Baker’s cottage’s selection of mooncakes. They don’t even sell those exotic mooncakes in the shops that I went. The only one that I bought which is different is chocolate cheese flavored. It is quite nice. I don’t know which brand it is though.

The type of mooncakes that I don’t like is the “jelly types”. Yuck. It doesn’t taste like mooncakes at all. It is like eating jelly. Yuck yuck. Thank goodness this year no one gave or bought that type.

The Drive Of Life Episode 51, have you watched it?

I already watched it. Well, only the first scene where the two brothers and the nephew are discussing in the meeting room. I really want to continue watching but it’s best to wait for the night show. Hehe.
I read in the forum that there are some who are able to rent or buy the VCD. People are sharing them through torrents. The other on demand shows that Astro is broadcasting are also available for download. If your Streamyx could handle it, might as well download them all and burn them into DVDs.

This is the final update on my previous trip to Singapore. Looking at these photos below reminds me of the nice wedding dinner. Good food, good view and nice wine
I have been to a few wedding dinners in the past but this is the first time I am sitting on a table right at the front of the hall.

A photo of the dinner hall.

Two heart shaped chocolates in a box for each guest.

Deluxe cold dish combination

Braised shark’s fin soup

Pan-fried prawns

Roast crispy chicken

Braised sliced abalone

Steamed live soon hock

Stewed ee-fu noodle
The last dish was dessert, hot sweetened red bean. I don’t remember why I didn’t take that photo. Maybe I was a little intoxicated from the wine.

The wedding trip to Singapore has passed a few months back. I just realized that I haven’t finish updating on the event. The place was great and the food really nice. There are a few photos to share. I will upload this set of photos first. Photos of the food will be up next. (This time I promise. LOL).

I had no idea where we were. I didn’t bother to check. I took the photo above to remind me of the place.

We were there early. Being so high up with windows overlooking a large area of Singapore, it was a great opportunity to look around and to have some photos taken.

Why so many ships/boats in the sea?

Food will be served soon. Yum yum.
