The rule of purchasing something there is that, "if you can't afford to lose the thing you pay, do not buy it". Something as expensive as a digital camera is best NOT do be bought through ebay. Since you will be back in December, I think you should wait until then and get one from lowyat. However, I was told the price of RM2,300+ to RM2,500+ from some other guy. So, I cannot confirm this. Actually no, I’m in Australia right now. I was planning on buying the camera online from eBay. But then again, you can’t really know whether the parts are genuine and most cameras doesn’t come with the manufacturer warranty.

I don't think Nikon charges the dealers any transportation fees. However, it could be possible that dealers in places like KL, penang, etc (where demand is high) are able to order more units at one time, thus they could have been given a discount. Not too sure though. @Jason
