What Kind Of People Keep Stacks Of RM50 In Their Pocket?

Stack of 50 ringgitHave you ever met people who pocket stacks of RM50 or RM100 notes in their pants?

A few weeks ago, I encountered one guy who took out one thick stack of RM50 notes from his trousers’ pocket to pay for his (less than RM50) bill. From the look of it, there could have been 50 pieces of RM50 or more in that stack. I wonder if he has a few more stacks in his pockets. Needless to say, the note that he passed to me was wet. *yuck*

When I was working as a cashier a few years ago, I encountered a few people like this as well. I have always wondered if there are actually people who keep thousands of ringgits in their pockets all the time. Do you know of anyone like this?

Anyway, I am also curious of their occupations. What kind of people would carry thousands of ringgits in their pockets wherever they go? I doubt an IT staff would be able to do that. Below is a list of possible people who would carry stacks of RM50 and RM100 notes with them all the time.

  • Business man
  • Datuk
  • Rich man’s son
  • Ah Long
  • Contractors
  • Gambler
  • Politician
  • Judge
  • Policeman

Please bear in mind that these are just my guesses. Who do you think these people are?

      Nay…those females with sugar daddies wan? I dem *admire* them when we line up to pay for our cosmetics during sales. They buy a few thousands ringgit and took out stacks of cash to pay while I have to zap the credit card for $50 purchase. Some people have all the luck.

      contractor always do that. they always need cash to buy materials and pay their contract workers.
      having work for a few housing contractor before, it is norm for them of having few thousands cash in their pocket.

      Hahaha.. Maybe they just withdrew from the ATM?

      I tend to carry a big wad during weekends when I have stuff to pay. :-(

      These days, our $$$$ is getting small-le.

      LOL. Well, I guess it’s better than withdrawing the money at the mall itself. People may notice you withdrawing money at the ATM and follow you, so carrying the money along is safer, in my opinion.

      @ben
      ??? Are you sure illegal immigrants got that much money? hehe

      @lilian aka 5xmom
      Ah, that is a good guess. I also damn jealous when I see young ladies driving damn big cars and all. First reaction — sugar daddy’s girl. LOL. Use credit card to purchase thing is good — can collect point and redeem free gifts later. hehe.

      @ipohchai
      Hmm…sounds logical. I guess at least one of my guesses is true :-)

      @anthraxxxx
      Wow. I have never carried that much money before lah. Well, I did — few thousand ringgit — but that wasn’t mine. I was working at a computer store and the money is supposed to be deposited into the company’s account.

      @Angie Tan
      Could be true also but I wonder why they need so much cash. For one month use maybe? hehe.

      Lol I think carrying some one else’s money is much more pressuring than your own.

      Another possiblity is,that guy is a rich crazy man who wants to scatter money.hahaha…

      @anthraxxxx
      Well, I guess that is true but at that time, I was so busy that I didn’t remember I had that much money in my pockets.

      @keeyit
      Who? Not me right? Since the money wasn’t even mine.

      @liciece
      Ah, that reminds me of a guy who randomly give out angpow to passerby on CNY.
