Interesting findings all around the web and world.

Have you ever written a letter to God? Maybe your kid has? I wonder what is the right thing to do after someone has written a letter to God. Do they post it? If so, where to? Or do they sealed it up in an envelope and place it some where safe until someone finds it later and open it up to read?

I received a forwarded email last night that contained photos of kid’s letters to God. After reading through all of them, you can’t help but to notice the innocence of these little kids. I selected a few to share it with you guys.

God, is the giraffe an accident?

God’s creations should be perfect. However, this cheeky little devil raised a smart question that would probably make God think twice before answering. Was the giraffe an accident?

A little kid trying to strike a deal with God

The little kid who thinks he can make a deal with God. He may just grow up to be the next Donald Trump.

The little kid who wants a puppy but got a little brother

The kid that got something else apart from what he wanted.

It is fun to be able to know what kids are thinking. They are so naive and pure, only to be “polluted” by the world as they grow up.

Lizard is afraid of chicken egg?I read someone’s blog some time ago (forgotten who) on how he/she managed to have a lizard free room simply by placing an empty egg shell in the room. I was skeptical at first. I wondered if it involved some kind of jampi. Anyway, I told my mom about it and she placed two empty chicken egg shells at the toilet’s window where there used to be lizards all the time.

It has been two days and I have not seen any lizards around there ever since. I really wonder if this method really works. If it really does work, why are lizards afraid of chicken egg shells?

I thought for a while and came up with a possible reason. Those egg shells may look like bird’s eggs. Lizards should be afraid of birds, since I wouldn’t mind feasting on lizards if I were a bird. Therefore, lizards will run and hide when they see an egg, thinking that it could be a bird’s egg.

The eggs were only placed there for two days and this cannot be used as a strong proof that lizards are afraid of eggs. Anyway, I may try placing a few eggs at other places known to be popular lizard hangout places such as the kitchen, garage and occasionally my room. If no more lizards are seen after that, I may conclude that lizards are afraid of “empty chicken egg shells”.

Sounds like a science project to me. LOL. Have you tried or heard a similar story in the past? What are your findings?

Added: Seems like peacock feathers may scare lizards away as well. Does that strengthen my suggestion that lizards stay away because they thought that there are birds nearby?

The Japanese GP saw plenty of rain over the weekend. The third practice session was lost due to the rain while the race started off behind the safety car. Thank goodness for that because I missed five minutes of the start. It was pouring so hard that the drivers were behind the safety car for almost a dozen laps. It was so boring I wondered if they will stay behind the safety car until the two hours is up.

The race resumed (or rather started) after the safety car dived into the pits. Despite the horrible weather condition, only a few minor incidents involving cars tripping over each other happened. It is hard to imagine how a person can drive in those conditions with the amount of water the Formula 1 cars kick up into the air. They are probably doing 300km/h on the straights while not being able to see 10m of what is happening in front of them.

There were some interesting overtakings in the race. Despite the 10 seconds stop-and-go penalty for Massa, he managed to get himself up to third position after the final restart behind the safety car. Strangely, the team called him in for a pit stop at the end when Raikkonen was right behind him. Team tactics perhaps. Anyway, it was a race where the Ferrari team seems to have got it all wrong. They started the race with the wrong tires when the rest of the field was on full wets forcing them to pit behind the safety car for a tire change.

Anyway, Hamilton went on for the win while Alonso crashed out. This victory puts Hamilton 12 points clear in the lead with only two races to go. Has the rookie done enough to book himself a championship this season? There are two more races to go with the next one in China seven days from now. I know I will be glued on the TV screen for that.

I got an email from Pelf Nyok a few days ago. In the email, she mentioned that she has a turtle blog some where but did not include the link to it. I guess it is not ready for “public viewing” yet. Curiosity kicked in and I ended up searching for it myself. Behold, the turtle blog. :-)

Anyway, she asked if I (and others) had any questions at all about turtles, terrapins (what on earth are terrapins?) or tortoises that she can answer. Questions like “Do turtles have teeth?” or “How many species of turtles are there in Malaysia?” or “Are the leatherback turtles really extinct?”

Since I can’t think of any smart questions like that, I am bringing up 10 silly questions that people would probably not dare to ask.

  1. How long can turtles hold their breath under water?
  2. How deep can a turtle swim in the sea?
  3. If a turtle flips over and lies on its back, how will it “unflip” itself?
  4. Can turtles live in fresh water?
  5. Do turtles mate on land or in the ocean? And how do they mate? ;-)
  6. How long is a turtle’s *ahem* when it is erect?
  7. What kind of sound does turtle make? (an audio file would be great)
  8. Do turtles have “inter-species” relationship? If yes, what are their newborns called?
  9. Do turtles live in groups, pairs or by individuals?
  10. Which is your favorite ninja turtle?

If any of you reading this have any other questions to ask, leave a comment below. Thank you!

Namewee’s first album started selling in Malaysia on 3rd September 2007. It costs only RM13.90 for a CD. There are 10 songs in it; two of which are “karaoke versions” — only music without the lead vocals.

Check out the other proud owners of the Namewee album with photos.

In his pre-release promotion video, he did mention that whoever that bought or sold his album may be in trouble. Not sure how true that is but if you are one of those that are afraid to buy the CD in a store, you can buy it online at Eastern Records. It costs the same but you will have to pay for the delivery charges.

You can pay with credit card, bank transfer or money order. However, I strongly DO NOT recommend you pay by credit card. Their security in handling credit card payments is one of the worst that I have ever come upon.

  • No SSL certificates encryption
  • You key in your credit card number and the three digit security code and is probably sent and stored in their database or sent to their email
