It has been raining cats and dogs for the past few days. It only pours in the evenings though. Lightning and thunderstorm is there to accompany the downpour. This can only mean one thing.
Monsoon is near, if not already here.
Just a little update on my Streamyx (so called) broadband connection. It has been really bad for the past few days. Google related websites are loading slowly, very slowly. I thought TM Net upgraded their services a while ago? I had quite a fast Streamyx connection back then for a week or two. Now it is worse than before.

There is a saying in Malay that goes, “Jatuh Ditimpa Tangga”. I think it means bad things happen when you are already in a troubled situation.
I can’t help but to feel how true this is. When I started blogging, I was smacked by some things that I wrote. I was already very troubled. I tried asking for advice and help around. As if I was not having enough trouble already, some [noun] started a controversy using my nick.
Yesterday, I got two of my PPP posts rejected due to some things (I believe) are not even written in their TOS. That troubled me a little but as if it wasn’t bad enough, my technology blog got smacked by the Big G. I am a little surprised but I know that I shouldn’t.
There will be some changes and mass edit of some of my posts in the coming days. One thing that is bound to change is the disclosure policy. I suspect some/most bloggers that got smacked by the Big G is due to the way they disclose their sponsored posts. I can’t be sure but something has to be changed.
Some extra “icing” for my situation — I received yet another junk SMS. KNS! That post will come up later. I am extremely tired now. I only slept for like two hours last night.
I haven’t replied to some comments in both my blogs. I am sorry. I will reply them when I wake up later and feel more refreshed. *sigh*

One of my friends knew that I was blogging and was making some money out of it. He contacted me the other day when he was in town and we met up to further discuss this.
Just to prevent any rumors that I am making a fortune from blogging, I am not. It is nice to be able to make some extra side income every month just by blogging. I am tracking my earnings since last month and currently, I have earned more than previously. Things could have been a lot easier for me if the Big G awarded me a ranking for this blog. I wonder when that day will come.
Anyway, I told him how much I am making and although it wasn’t much, he sound interested. After some discussion, he listened to my advice and registered two domains for himself.
Since he isn’t familiar setting up and handling the web hosting and blog, I helped him to setup everything. His blog is now good to go. He is currently busy so I don’t think that he will start blogging anytime soon. When he does, I may introduce him to you guys.
I have no idea what he will be blogging about though. I wonder if he does. Hehehe.

I am experiencing very slow connection for the past few hours when I am trying to access Google. GMail doesn’t seem like it wants to load. Google Adsense barely made it. Most importantly, my Google Reader is all choked up.
Browsing other websites seems to be okay, not super fast but at least they are loading. I am not sure if my Streamyx broadband is acting up again. I don’t believe Google is having server problems, are they?
Anyone else having the same problem the past few hours?

I am sick and tired of getting SMSes that is either promoting some ringtone or wallpaper downloads. A few months ago, I was “attacked” by three SMSes where one of them used sexual exploits to lure victims into subscribing to their service. What about the promised Maxis Anti-spam service that is supposed to be protecting me from getting these crappy SMSes?
I got the SMS below at 1.58pm today. Strangely, this SMS does not have the usual “mask” to hide its phone number. The number that sent the SMS is +601422306XX.
E bang, Demo nok download nada MP3 yg terkini ko? Tulih ON ST dan SMS ke 334XX. Tuk Mesej Cinta aku tulih ON LOVE dan hantar ke 334XX, meme beh glo.

I made a complaint to the MCMC for the previous SMS spam that I got but have not received a reply until today. I don’t think making another complaint will make any difference.
Added: Another blogger received the same message on her Raya celebration — Raya: Something for the handphone.
