Another Blogger Has Pledged For MAKNA

A big thank you to hanneng for his pledge and generous sponsorship to aid in my attempt to raise at least RM1,000 for MAKNA. With it, I’m another step closer to my target.

Make a difference to the world. Any amount of donation will aid MAKNA in providing care and treatment for those who can’t afford it themselves. Pledge and donate today. Thank you.

RM515 Or USD149.35 Collected So Far!

It’s 5.30am now. Just when I was about to go to sleep, a received a new email with the subject “You’ve been sponsored!”. This is the second sponsor I’m getting for my attempt in raising RM1,000 for MAKNA.

USD149.35 collected for MAKNA

My first sponsor is someone by the name of Naoko. My latest sponsor is none other than our big brother LiewCF. LiewCF has pledged RM500 to my chosen charity, MAKNA. With that, the amount raised so far is RM515. I’m already half way towards my target of raising at least RM1,000.

A big thank you to both my sponsors. I’m looking forward to thanking more people :-)

Starting Time Of Blogathon 2007 In Malaysia

According to what I’ve read, the Blogathon starts on “July 28, 6:00am Pacific”. I’ve used a Time Zone Converter webtool to convert that time back to Malaysian time and below is the result.

Time Zone Converter converting to Malaysian time

If the information above is correct, the Blogathon will start on 28th July at 9.00pm Malaysian time.

The actual time difference between Pacific time and Malaysian time is 16 hours (Malaysia faster). However, due to daylight savings, the difference is only 15 hours. Can someone please confirm this? I don’t want to be starting too late or too early. :-)

Sponsor Me For Blogathon 2007! Funds For MAKNA

My worry earlier on is gone. WooHoo! I’m accepted for Blogathon 2007. Thanks Sheana Director!

It looks like they have extended the dateline. However, she didn’t mention when the latest dateline is. If you’re interested to blog for charity, sign up NOW before it’s too late!

I’ll be blogging for MAKNA. According to their website:

Majlis Kanser Nasional (MAKNA) or National Cancer Council is a not-for-profit organization. Our main objective is “to pool and utilise all efforts, expertise and finance from all sectors of the society, to fight cancer and reduce related pain, morbidity and the suffering that cancer patients undergo.

My registration has been approved at 9.10am. I was delighted to know that I’ve received a sponsor only one hour later. This is very encouraging.

On Saturday, 28th July 2007 at 10pm 9pm local time (if I’m not mistaken), I’ll be blogging for 24 hours non stop. I’ll be updating my blog every 30 minutes with a total of 49 posts. I’m aiming to raise at least RM1,000 for MAKNA. That is about USD290. I have pledge my time for MAKNA. Kindly pledge your money for them.

All funds will be donated directly to MAKNA. Neither Blogathon.org nor I will ever come in contact with the funds.

I’m a little bit on my back foot due to joining late for this. Therefore, I hope some of you will help share this post with your friends. That way, the message spreads faster and hopefully is able to raise more money for MAKNA.

Help me help MAKNA. Thank you!

Bruce Lee Learned Kung Fu From Michael Jackson

I saw the video below from the goddess’ post regarding the “argument” that has erupted between XiaXue and Steven Lim. Anyway, it’s true folks, Bruce Lee learned his kung fu from Michael Jackson! Watch the video and you’ll know what I mean. Some of his “greatest moves” start after he removes his shirt.

Back to the “argument”.

It started when she posted a list of top 7 most disgusting bloggers in Singapore. The “scene” that was mentioned in the Steven Lim’s video is actually a recording of Girls Out Loud’s episode 2 part 3. Steven was paid SGD50 (?) to prevent to woo XiaXue for the recording. XiaXue shows her “I’m not interested in you, you are so lame” face.

Oh well, I’m just here for the laughter. I wonder if there will be more on this.
