I had a nice long chat with Jason two nights ago about him having problems with his VMI card in PayPal and some other stuff about digital cameras and photography. Only then did I realize that the price for a D80 kit was only about RM3,500.
All this while, I thought the Nikon D80 was at least RM4,500 an above. If I know about it before I bought my D40x over two weeks ago, I would have definitely opted for the D80 instead. I will only have to pay less than RM100 extra per month. Furthermore, the D80 is more powerful and (if I am not mistaken) do not have problems with auto focus in older lenses that the D40x has.
Boo-sheet betul.
Anyway, it is my fault for not researching enough. Sheeeetttt!

Maybank used to provide their E-Banking service (Maybank2u) for free to individuals and companies. From my experience, the website becomes very slow or almost inaccessible in the daytime. I have always thought that they should upgrade their servers to accommodate the increasing number of users.
Unfortunately, Maybank has chosen a different approach to “solving” this problem. Only a few weeks ago, Maybank started charging small businesses — partnerships and professionals — a monthly fee of RM10 to use their E-Banking service. This fee will be automatically deducted from the customer’s account monthly until they wish to cancel the service.
As an alternative, those who do not want to be charged an extra RM10 monthly can use their phone banking service instead. They will need to apply for this service at their local branch. The number to call is 1300-88-6688. Unfortunately, I have been trying to call that number for the past hour but it is still engaged.
I am starting to feel very negative about Maybank now. They better improve their services. Maybe they should start at improving their staff’s morale. The protests by Maybank’s staffs in a few states just over a month ago aren’t doing any good to their image either. You can view some of the photos of the protest too.
It looks like some people are still talking about the Negarakuku video clip. One lady politician brought it up a few weeks ago, which I guess could have been used to gain some political mileage(?)
Anyway, the latest mention that I know of is from a form one student named Bryan. He uploaded a video on YouTube entitled, The truth of Negaraku. However, he only mentioned about Namewee briefly in the 8 minutes video. Most parts of the video talked about how much our national anthem, Negaraku sounded like Mamula Moon.
I guess he must be using a laptop when recording this because some of the audio is too loud (when he was playing the music on YouTube) and the loud tap on the keyboard.
He somehow apologized if he offended anyone with his video. The funny thing about this video happened right at the end where he “invited” anyone who would want to “meet him up” to find him at a park between 4 to 6pm daily. At first, it sounded like a challenge but it was actually for “if you have any comments to make”.
He ended the video with “thank you and salam sejahtera”. It sounded more like news broadcast to me. I can’t help but to wonder if he is sober.

Just a short community message. Don’t do drugs and keep alcohol to a “controlled level”.
The mass rally organized by BERSIH on the 10th of November was aimed for an electoral reform towards fairer and “cleaner” election. Our Prime Minister, Pak Lah disapproves of such mass gatherings claiming that “there’s never been peaceful gatherings”.
From the articles I read and YouTube videos I saw, the only non-peaceful events that happened were started by “the other side of the fence”. The people and even journalists covering the event were “shot at” using water canon and a hawker who wasn’t even participating in the mass rally was reported having his left knee broken and crushed “by police officers” as reported by Malaysiakini.
“I also never imagined I would end up with a knee smashed by those who are supposed to be protecting the people against violence.”
There is a call for the rakyat to wear yellow on every Saturday as a call to protest against the government for their “street dance” last weekend.
“It can be a yellow cap, a yellow shirt, a yellow ribbon … just anything yellow,” said Syed Azman Syed Nawawi from the opposition Islamic party PAS.
Will I be wearing yellow proudly and walk in the streets together with the others? You bet! Since anything yellow will do, I am thinking of something unique. A shirt, pants or cap is so common. I want to be different. How about wearing yellow underwear?
Speaking of yellow underwear reminds me of someone. Do you know who this someone is? Below are some clues:
Male
Blogger
“Entertainer”
Handsome (self-proclaimed)
Singaporean
XiaXue’s “best friend”
You should be able to guess it by now. Enjoy the YouTube video below.
Now, what I need to do is to go buy some Yellow underwear now.
This year’s Deepavali celebration was a little quiet for me. I called up a few friends to gather at a friend’s open house but most of them were out of town. In the end, there were only two of us visiting. Less people means more food to eat
We spent over two hours there — eating and talking. My friend bought a dog for his parents to look after the house. I think it is only four months old. So, the parents are probably doing the looking after, for now.
Anyway, we chatted for a bit and the million dollar question popped up out of the blue — “Have you registered?”
The two of them were like, “Hell ya… You bet! I am not going to allow… I will make sure…”. They went on and on but I was like, “Errr…not yet”. Let’s not talk about me and concentrate on what they have to say, shall we?
I was actually quite surprised that they had the same views on most of the things that I have been reading on “alternative news” sites like Malaysiakini. They talked about who they would vote for in the coming election. I can’t help but to wonder, does it even matter? I just read the article on “Mystery voters” and remembered some “ghost voters” reported some time ago.
To me, politics (no matter who are the ones on top) is a “dirty game”. It is all about power, money and corruption. The question isn’t whether they are corrupt but how corrupt they are.
